The GILLIAN MARGOT TRIO’s debut CD, was recorded live for a studio audience in 2010. A Pink-Filled Sky features original songs with few jazz standard selections, and it is an innovative approach that takes its listeners outside the box of traditional jazz. With a pared down ensemble consisting of piano, double bass, and voice, The Gillian Margot Trio’s chamber jazz sound is both imaginative and fulfilling.

STUART HARRISON competed in classical piano at the national level as a teen, switched to jazz, after finding inspiration in his improvisation as a church organist. He graduated from University of Toronto's jazz performance program and quickly became established in the ‘entertainment’ business as a band leader and arranger. Following a 5 year tenure with Garden Brothers Circus, as musical director, Harrison is now focusing on small jazz ensembles, most prominently the Gillian Margot Trio.

JORDAN O'CONNOR has played in a variety of settings, leading several of his own ensembles since the age of fifteen. He has released 3 CDs, and  numerous online releases. His first CD, Cash Cow's "When We Were Little Girls" won best Jazz album of the year from the National Post - 2001. Most recently released is "Lebreton" a solo bass recording of O’Connor’s original score for the film, "Tkaronto." For fun he is currently studying 16th & 18th Century counterpoint.

KISS

In March 2010, Gillian Margot, Jordan O'Connor, and Stuart Harrison (The Gillian Margot Trio) performed two concerts in Merriam Music Auditorium in Oakville.

The performances were recorded, with a "studio" audience present for the express purpose of producing a live debut album. The result is "A Pink-Filled Sky," which was released on November 23rd, 2010 at Toronto's prestigious venue, Hugh's Room.

This ballad, "Kiss" was written by Jordan O'Connor and Gillian Margot. This is how they performed it on March 20, 2010.
